Job Description

ADPP Mozambique is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sewing Helper to join our team in Mecubúri, Nampula Province. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare fabrics and materials for sewing, including cutting, marking, and organizing according to patterns and instructions.
  • Assist experienced sewers and tailors with various tasks such as threading machines, changing needles, and maintaining sewing equipment.
  • Perform basic sewing tasks, including straight stitching, hemming, and simple repairs, under supervision.
  • Inspect finished products for quality control, trimming loose threads, and ensuring adherence to standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including clearing fabric scraps and tidying tools.
  • Help with inventory management of fabrics, notions, and finished goods.
  • Support the packing and preparation of finished items for distribution or sale.
  • Learn and adapt to new sewing techniques and project requirements as needed.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and operational procedures within the workshop.

Required Skills

  • Basic knowledge of sewing techniques and tools.
  • Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
