Key Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders and packing slips for accuracy and damage.
  • Unload, inspect, and accurately record incoming materials and products into inventory systems.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments, including picking, packing, labeling, and staging goods for transport.
  • Operate basic material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks (training provided).
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the shipping and receiving areas.
  • Assist with periodic inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Communicate effectively with carriers, suppliers, and internal departments regarding shipment statuses and issues.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support overall warehouse operations.

Required Skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic computer proficiency (data entry).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated reliability and punctuality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics setting (even non-paid or volunteer).
  • Familiarity with inventory management software or systems.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • First Aid and/or CPR certification.
