Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders and packing slips for accuracy and damage.
- Unload, inspect, and accurately record incoming materials and products into inventory systems.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including picking, packing, labeling, and staging goods for transport.
- Operate basic material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks (training provided).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the shipping and receiving areas.
- Assist with periodic inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, suppliers, and internal departments regarding shipment statuses and issues.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support overall warehouse operations.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer proficiency (data entry).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated reliability and punctuality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics setting (even non-paid or volunteer).
- Familiarity with inventory management software or systems.
