Career.zycto is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our vibrant team in Imara Daima, Nairobi. This critical role involves the precise and efficient handling of incoming and outgoing orders, ensuring that our products reach our customers accurately and on schedule. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be at the heart of our logistics operations, responsible for verifying shipments, preparing essential documentation, and coordinating with various departments to maintain a seamless flow of goods.

Key Responsibilities
- Receive and process incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders and packing slips for accuracy.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling items according to company standards and shipping instructions.
- Generate and maintain accurate shipping documentation, including waybills, invoices, and customs forms.
- Coordinate with couriers and freight forwarders for timely pickup and delivery of goods.
- Monitor and update inventory records in the company’s warehouse management system (WMS).
- Identify and report any discrepancies, damages, or quality issues in received or outgoing goods.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment within the shipping and receiving area.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified) safely and efficiently.
- Assist with periodic inventory counts and stock reconciliation.
- Collaborate with sales, customer service, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar logistics role.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and basic computer applications (MS Office Suite).
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 25 kg.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Basic understanding of logistics and supply chain processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent; a Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is a plus.
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.
