Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and process incoming shipments, meticulously verifying contents against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Inspect received goods for damage or discrepancies, thoroughly documenting and reporting any issues promptly to supervisors.
- Accurately sort, label, and store materials in designated warehouse locations to maintain inventory integrity.
- Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing shipments according to customer orders and precise shipping instructions.
- Generate shipping labels, manifests, and other required documentation using company systems with high accuracy.
- Assist with periodic inventory counts, cycle counts, and actively contribute to maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely, such as pallet jacks or hand trucks, as needed (comprehensive training will be provided).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times, strictly adhering to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure smooth and efficient logistical operations.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or operational inefficiencies to management immediately.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to read and accurately interpret packing slips, invoices, and shipping documents.
- Strong organizational skills and an exceptional attention to detail to minimize errors.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry, documentation, and utilizing company software.
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 25 kg regularly and safely.
- Excellent time management skills and a proven ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Effective verbal communication skills to interact clearly with colleagues and supervisors.
- Unwavering commitment to workplace safety and strict adherence to established procedures.
- Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a cohesive team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (6+ months) in a shipping, receiving, or general warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with inventory management software or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Experience operating manual pallet jacks or powered industrial trucks (forklift certification is a significant advantage).
- Basic knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles and best practices.
- High school diploma or equivalent secondary education certificate.
