Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect goods for damages or discrepancies, reporting issues immediately to management.
- Accurately sort, label, and store incoming materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Prepare outbound shipments, including picking, packing, and crating items according to specifications.
- Generate shipping labels, packing lists, and other required documentation.
- Load and unload trucks safely, utilizing appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts.
- Maintain organized and accurate inventory records, performing regular cycle counts and assisting with physical inventory.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., procurement, production, customer service) to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Keep the shipping and receiving area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Shipping and Receiving Clerk or in a similar warehouse role for at least 2 years.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to accurately read and interpret shipping documents, such as invoices, purchase orders, and packing slips.
- Basic computer proficiency, including experience with inventory management systems or data entry.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 25 kg) and stand for extended periods.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and best practices in a warehouse environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift certification and proven experience operating a forklift.
- Experience with SAP or other warehouse management software (WMS).
- Knowledge of international shipping regulations and documentation.
- Proficiency in German language (B1 or higher).
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in logistics or supply chain is a plus.
