Career.zycto is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic team in Potsdam, Brandenburg. This full-time position is crucial for maintaining the smooth flow of goods through our facility, ensuring that all incoming and outgoing shipments are processed accurately and efficiently. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that support our supply chain, from verifying inventory and preparing documentation to coordinating with carriers and maintaining a safe, organized warehouse environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders and packing lists for accuracy and damage.
  • Prepare and process outgoing shipments, including picking, packing, labeling, and documenting goods for domestic and international delivery.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently (certification preferred).
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through diligent data entry and regular cycle counts; report discrepancies promptly.
  • Organize and maintain the warehouse and storage areas, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and proper product placement.
  • Coordinate with carriers and logistics partners for timely pickups and deliveries, scheduling appointments as needed.
  • Generate shipping labels, customs documentation, bills of lading, and other required paperwork.
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments (e.g., sales, customer service) regarding shipment status and inventory levels.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, as well as local and international shipping regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support overall warehouse and operational goals.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a shipping, receiving, or warehouse environment.
  • Proficiency with inventory management systems and basic computer applications (MS Office Suite).
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 25 kg) and stand for extended periods.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Problem-solving aptitude and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in logistics or warehouse management is a plus.
  • Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., VDI 3313).
  • Experience with international shipping procedures and customs documentation.
  • Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems.
