Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner, identifying their needs and recommending suitable products.
- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of Courts Mammouth products, promotions, and services to effectively inform customers.
- Process sales transactions accurately using POS systems, handle cash, credit card payments, and manage returns/exchanges.
- Ensure the shop floor is well-stocked, clean, tidy, and visually appealing, adhering to merchandising standards.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving new stock, conducting stock counts, and reporting discrepancies.
- Resolve customer inquiries and complaints efficiently and courteously, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Actively participate in sales training programs and team meetings to enhance product knowledge and selling techniques.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and security protocols to ensure a safe and secure shopping environment.
Required Skills
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills in English and French (Creole is a plus).
- Customer-centric mindset with a passion for delivering excellent service.
- Basic numeracy and ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as required for merchandising.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail sales or customer service role.
- Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems.
- Secondary School Certificate (Form V/SC or equivalent).
- Enthusiasm for home furnishings, electronics, or appliances.
