Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and assist customers, understanding their needs and preferences to offer appropriate products.
- Actively engage with customers on the sales floor, providing detailed product information and demonstrating features.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently, handling cash, credit, and other transactions accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor, including shelving, displays, and promotional areas.
- Replenish stock on shelves, monitor inventory levels, and assist with receiving and organizing new merchandise.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns/exchanges professionally and courteously, escalating issues when necessary.
- Achieve and exceed daily/weekly sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Stay informed about current promotions, product knowledge, and store policies.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth store operations and a positive work environment.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures of the store as required.
Required Skills
- Proven customer service experience, preferably in a retail environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Basic mathematical skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced retail setting.
- High level of reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Enthusiastic and proactive approach to sales and customer engagement.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems.
- Knowledge of various sales techniques and strategies.
- Ability to speak multiple languages (e.g., English, French, Creole) is an advantage.
