As a Shuttle Driver, you will be the welcoming face of our transportation service, directly responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient transport of passengers between designated locations throughout the Douglas and wider Juneau areas. This crucial position ensures a seamless and positive experience for all our passengers, whether they are daily commuters, visiting tourists, or local residents exploring our beautiful city.
You will operate our fleet of well-maintained shuttles, rigorously adhering to all local traffic laws, company safety protocols, and scheduled routes. Beyond the wheel, your role extends to providing attentive assistance to passengers, including help with loading and unloading luggage, offering courteous responses to inquiries, and sharing basic information about routes or local points of interest when appropriate. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport passengers according to scheduled routes and timelines.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Assist passengers with boarding, disembarking, and handling luggage as needed.
- Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment inside the shuttle.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and transportation regulations.
- Provide courteous and professional customer service to all passengers.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding schedule changes, delays, or incidents.
- Handle passenger inquiries and provide basic information about routes or local areas.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and passenger counts as required.
Required Skills
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record (no major infractions)
- Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience
- Excellent knowledge of local traffic laws and road conditions in Juneau, AK
- Strong commitment to passenger safety and comfort
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Punctuality and reliability
Preferred Qualifications
