Job Description

Are you a highly skilled and dedicated Signalling Technician eager to contribute to the operational excellence and safety of critical railway systems? Career.zycto is seeking a proficient individual to join our team in Braunschweig. In this crucial role, you will be instrumental in the installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of complex railway signalling equipment and systems. This includes ensuring the seamless function of interlockings, track circuits, point machines, level crossings, and associated control systems. Your meticulous attention to detail and technical expertise will directly uphold the highest standards of safety and efficiency for rail transport. Key Responsibilities

  • Execute routine maintenance, inspections, and preventative measures on railway signalling apparatus.

  • Perform corrective repairs and replacements of defective equipment to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Conduct comprehensive testing and commissioning of new or upgraded signalling installations in accordance with safety standards.
  • Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams accurately for fault finding and system modifications.
  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, operational procedures, and environmental guidelines.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in railway signalling systems maintenance and repair.
  • Strong understanding of electrical, electronic, and mechanical principles.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a demanding environment.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to strict operational protocols.
  • Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant professional certification in railway signalling technology (e.g., VDV or equivalent).
  • Experience with specific European railway signalling systems (e.g., LZB, ETCS).
  • Basic knowledge of German language for communication on-site.
  • Familiarity with modern diagnostic tools and software for signalling systems.
