Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all on-site construction activities from planning to completion.
  • Ensure project adherence to specifications, blueprints, safety standards, and building codes.
  • Manage and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor project schedules and budgets.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and safety compliance.
  • Prepare daily and weekly progress reports, documentation, and records.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders.
  • Identify and resolve project-related issues and conflicts proactively.
  • Implement and enforce site-specific safety plans and procedures.
  • Procure and manage site materials and equipment efficiently.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in site management or a similar leadership role in construction.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and quality control.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various job sites.
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality assurance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., Gold Seal Certification, PMP).
  • Experience with commercial, residential, or infrastructure projects in Canada.
