Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Site Supervisor with daily operational tasks and project coordination.
  • Monitor site activities to ensure adherence to safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Help maintain project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and material tracking.
  • Support the scheduling and coordination of subcontractors, materials, and equipment.
  • Participate in site meetings, taking notes and following up on action items.
  • Conduct site inspections to identify potential issues and ensure compliance.
  • Assist in resolving minor site-related problems and escalating complex issues to the Site Supervisor.
  • Learn and apply company policies and procedures related to construction management.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Support communication between various project stakeholders, including workers, suppliers, and management.

Required Skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong interest in the construction or skilled trades industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new challenges.
  • Basic computer proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks on a construction site, including standing, walking, and lifting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a general labor or assistant role, even outside of construction.
  • Enrollment in or completion of a construction-related college program or trade school.
  • Valid G Class Driver's License and access to reliable transportation.
  • Knowledge of basic construction tools and terminology.
  • First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
