Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage daily on-site construction operations from inception to completion.
- Ensure strict adherence to all health and safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Supervise, motivate, and coordinate site personnel, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality of workmanship and compliance with specifications.
- Manage site logistics, material ordering, and equipment utilization efficiently.
- Maintain accurate site records, including daily logs, progress reports, and incident reports.
- Liaise effectively with project managers, clients, architects, and local authorities.
- Implement and enforce quality control procedures to meet project standards.
- Resolve on-site issues and conflicts promptly and effectively.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with project drawings and schedules.
- Participate in site meetings and provide updates on project status.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Site Supervisor in the construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and health and safety regulations (e.g., SMSTS, SSSTS).
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Ability to plan, schedule, and monitor project activities effectively.
- Solid problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- First Aid at Work certification.
- Proficient in using construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 4 or higher in Construction Site Supervision or related field.
- CSCS Card (Gold or Black).
- Experience with various types of construction projects (e.g., residential, commercial, infrastructure).
- Strong understanding of construction contracts and legal requirements.
- Driving license and own transport.
