Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and safe ski lessons to individuals and groups of varying ages and skill levels, adapting to different learning paces.
- Assess students' abilities and develop tailored lesson plans to meet individual learning needs and goals effectively.
- Strictly emphasize and enforce safety regulations and responsible conduct on the slopes at all times.
- Provide clear, constructive, and encouraging feedback to students to facilitate continuous progress and build confidence.
- Maintain a positive, energetic, and highly professional attitude throughout all interactions with students, colleagues, and resort staff.
- Assist with equipment checks, fitting, and minor adjustments as needed to ensure student comfort and safety.
- Actively participate in mandatory training sessions and continuous professional development initiatives.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies, operational procedures, and resort guidelines.
Required Skills
- Valid Ski Instructor certification from a recognized body (e.g., DSV, ISIA, or equivalent national certification).
- Minimum of 2 years (24 months) of practical, hands-on ski instruction experience.
- Excellent skiing proficiency across various terrains and snow conditions.
- Strong communication, pedagogical, and interpersonal skills, particularly with diverse age groups and cultural backgrounds.
- Fluency in both German and English, spoken and written.
- Ability to work effectively, flexibly, and collaboratively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated unwavering commitment to safety, student well-being, and providing exceptional customer service.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional specialized certifications (e.g., freestyle skiing, snowboard instruction, adaptive skiing).
- Proven experience teaching in international or high-volume ski resort settings.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Proficiency in additional languages (e.g., French, Italian, Dutch).
- Experience with specific teaching methodologies or structured ski school programs.
