Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Panel Beater to join our dedicated automotive repair team in George, Western Cape. As a vital member of our workshop, you will be responsible for meticulously repairing damaged vehicle bodies, ensuring every vehicle is returned to its pre-accident condition, meeting both manufacturer specifications and our high standards of quality. You will work on a diverse range of vehicles, from minor cosmetic damage to significant structural repairs, utilizing a variety of tools and techniques. Your daily tasks will involve everything from assessing damage and planning repair strategies to carrying out precision repairs, including panel beating, filling, sanding, and preparing surfaces for painting. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform skilled panel beating, dent removal, and body alignment using various hand tools and specialized equipment.
  • Replace damaged panels, structural components, and chassis parts.
  • Conduct welding, brazing, and soldering processes as required for repairs.
  • Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting, including filling, sanding, and masking.
  • Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
  • Work collaboratively with paint technicians and other workshop staff to maintain efficient workflow.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Keep abreast of new repair technologies and techniques within the automotive industry.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Panel Beater/Motor Body Repairer.
  • Deep understanding of vehicle body structures and repair techniques.
  • Proficiency in using a wide range of panel beating tools, equipment, and machinery.
  • Skilled in welding (MIG, TIG, spot welding) and other metalworking techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret repair manuals and technical diagrams.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and diagnostic skills.
  • Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications
