Key Responsibilities
- Perform accurate and high-quality alterations and repairs on a variety of garments, including dresses, suits, trousers, shirts, and household items.
- Take precise measurements for fittings and adjustments, ensuring optimal garment fit.
- Operate industrial and domestic sewing machines, as well as hand-stitching techniques, with expertise.
- Assess garment condition and recommend appropriate repair or alteration solutions to customers.
- Work with different fabric types, including delicate materials, leathers, and heavy-duty textiles.
- Ensure timely completion of all tailoring projects while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are in good working condition.
- Provide excellent customer service, offering expert advice and ensuring customer satisfaction with all alterations and repairs.
- Manage inventory of tailoring supplies and report needs to management.
