Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Full-Time Skydiving Instructor to join one of our premier adventure sports partners in Glasgow, Scotland. As a Skydiving Instructor, you will be at the forefront of delivering exceptional and safe skydiving experiences, ranging from tandem jumps to guiding advanced student progression.

Your primary focus will be on ensuring the utmost safety for all participants, adhering strictly to industry regulations and operational protocols. You will be responsible for comprehensive pre-jump briefings, meticulous equipment checks, and expert in-air instruction, making every jump a memorable and secure adventure. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough pre-jump safety briefings and ground training for students and tandem passengers.
  • Perform safe and effective tandem skydives, ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
  • Provide expert in-air instruction and coaching for students progressing through various skill levels (AFF, static line, etc.).
  • Meticulously inspect and maintain skydiving equipment, ensuring it meets all safety standards.
  • Adhere strictly to all British Parachute Association (BPA) or equivalent international regulations and operational procedures.
  • Assist with manifest duties, load organization, and general dropzone operations as required.
  • Monitor weather conditions and make informed decisions regarding jump feasibility and safety.
  • Participate in ongoing training, professional development, and emergency procedure drills.
  • Contribute to a positive and professional team environment, fostering strong client relationships.
  • Accurately complete all necessary paperwork and record-keeping related to jumps and training.

Required Skills

  • Valid BPA Tandem Instructor or equivalent international certification (e.g., USPA Tandem Instructor Rating).
  • Minimum of 400 skydives logged.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrable leadership and decision-making abilities under pressure.
  • Strong understanding of aerophysics and skydiving equipment mechanics.
  • Impeccable safety record and attention to detail.
  • Physical fitness suitable for the demands of repeated skydiving and heavy equipment handling.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as dictated by weather and operational needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional BPA or USPA instructor ratings (e.g., AFF Instructor, Coach, Examiner).
  • Experience with various parachute systems and aircraft types.
  • Prior experience in a customer service or instructional role within adventure sports.
  • Proficiency in basic parachute rigging and maintenance.
  • Experience with skydiving videography and photography.
