We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Part-Time Social Media Coordinator to join our vibrant team in Centretown, Ottawa. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage our social media strategy across platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
- Create, curate, and manage all published content (images, video, written text, and audio) to ensure it is engaging and aligned with brand guidelines.
- Monitor, listen, and respond to users in a 'social' way while cultivating leads and sales opportunities.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure content is consistent and integrated across all marketing channels.
- Analyze social media performance data, generate reports, and provide insights to optimize future strategies.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest social media best practices, trends, and technologies.
- Assist in the development and execution of social media advertising campaigns.
- Identify and engage with key influencers and community members to foster relationships and partnerships.
- Maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity across all social media communications.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Social Media Coordinator or similar role (minimum 12 months).
- Excellent knowledge of major social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.) and their analytics tools.
- Strong understanding of social media marketing principles, content creation, and community management.
- Proficiency in content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite basics for simple edits).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects.
- Basic understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics as they relate to social media.
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- Experience in the recruitment or career services industry.
