Job Description

We are seeking an innovative and results-driven Social Media Manager to spearhead our online campaigns in Ruhango, Southern Province. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative individual who understands the nuances of digital communication and community building. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing our social media strategy to enhance our brand presence, engage our audience, and drive customer acquisition and retention. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies aligned with MTN Rwanda's marketing and communication objectives.
  • Create, curate, and manage engaging content (text, image, video) for all social media platforms, ensuring brand consistency and relevance.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on social media performance using analytics tools, providing actionable insights for continuous improvement.
  • Engage with our online community, respond to comments and inquiries, and foster positive customer relationships.
  • Plan and implement online campaigns, promotions, and contests to increase brand awareness and drive user engagement.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media best practices, trends, and technologies, recommending new strategies and tools.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, customer service, and product development, to ensure integrated campaign execution.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role, demonstrating successful campaign execution.
  • Excellent understanding of major social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok).
  • Strong content creation skills, including copywriting, visual storytelling, and basic graphic design/video editing.
  • Proficiency in social media analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, Hootsuite, Sprout Social).
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills in English and Kinyarwanda.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Experience in the telecommunications industry or a large corporate environment.
  • Certification in social media marketing or digital advertising.
  • Familiarity with local Rwandan culture and consumer behavior.
