Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Software Developer to join our vibrant team in Footdee, Aberdeen. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable full-stack web applications using modern frameworks and technologies.
- Architect and implement native or hybrid mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms.
- Collaborate with product owners, designers, and other developers to define, design, and ship new features.
- Write clean, well-documented, and testable code, ensuring high performance and responsiveness of applications.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge with team members.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software to improve functionality and resolve issues.
- Optimise applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Implement security and data protection settings.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, applying them to enhance our development process and products.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in front-end development (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript).
- Strong back-end development skills (e.g., Node.js, Python/Django/Flask, Java/Spring Boot, C#/.NET).
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis).
- Demonstrated experience in developing and deploying mobile applications (native iOS/Android with Swift/Kotlin or cross-platform with React Native/Flutter).
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Solid understanding of software development best practices, including testing, continuous integration, and continuous deployment (CI/CD).

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
