Key Responsibilities
- Develop, document, and execute comprehensive integration test plans and test cases based on system requirements and design specifications.
- Perform API testing, database testing, and UI integration testing to validate end-to-end data flow and system interactions.
- Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies using bug tracking systems, ensuring clear and concise reporting.
- Collaborate closely with software developers, business analysts, and product managers to understand system architecture and resolve integration issues.
- Design and implement automated integration tests to improve efficiency and coverage, leveraging various testing frameworks and tools.
- Participate in requirement reviews, design discussions, and sprint planning sessions to provide input on testability and potential risks.
- Monitor system performance during integration testing and report on findings to ensure scalability and reliability.
- Maintain and update existing test suites and documentation to reflect changes in system functionality.
- Provide regular status updates on testing progress, risks, and outstanding issues to project stakeholders.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on integration testing.
- Proficiency in designing and executing integration test plans and test cases.
- Strong experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI, Swagger).
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with SQL for database querying and data validation.
- Experience with at least one programming/scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, C#) for test automation.
- Experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps) and test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and testing cloud-native applications.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience with performance and load testing tools.
- Knowledge of various messaging queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ) and event-driven architectures.
- Certification in Software Testing (e.g., ISTQB).
