Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional and non-functional requirements.
- Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing on new and existing software products.
- Accurately identify, document, track, and retest software defects using bug tracking systems, ensuring clear communication with development teams.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other QA team members throughout the software development lifecycle to ensure quality standards are met.
- Provide objective feedback to software development project teams and management to improve overall product quality and enhance user experience.
- Participate in the review of requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Analyze and interpret test results, generating comprehensive reports for stakeholders.
Required Skills
- 2-3 years of proven experience in Software Quality Assurance or a similar testing role.
- Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Proficiency in creating clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla, Azure DevOps).
- Familiarity with various testing types (functional, regression, integration, UAT).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to articulate issues and findings clearly.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Knowledge of SQL for database validation.
- Certification in Software Quality Assurance (e.g., ISTQB).
