Key Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases for new and existing software features.
- Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies using defect tracking systems, ensuring clear and concise reporting.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure defects are understood, prioritized, and resolved efficiently.
- Participate in requirements and design reviews, providing constructive feedback from a quality assurance perspective.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of automated test scripts, where applicable.
- Provide regular updates on testing progress and defect status to team leads and project managers.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 18 months of experience in software quality assurance or testing.
- Proficiency in creating detailed test plans, test cases, and test reports.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
- Experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Basic knowledge of SQL for database validation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- ISTQB certification or equivalent.
- Experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Prior experience in the financial services industry.
- Experience testing mobile applications (iOS/Android).
