Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the overall release schedule and calendar for multiple software products and projects.
- Coordinate release activities across development, QA, product management, and operations teams to ensure alignment.
- Facilitate Go/No-Go decisions for software releases based on predefined criteria and stakeholder consensus.
- Ensure all necessary documentation, including release notes, deployment plans, and communication materials, are prepared and approved.
- Monitor and report on release progress, identifying and escalating potential issues, risks, and blockers to relevant teams.
- Implement and continuously improve release processes, tools, and automation to enhance efficiency, predictability, and reliability.
- Conduct post-release reviews to gather feedback, identify areas for improvement, and document lessons learned.
- Work closely with CI/CD engineers to streamline deployment pipelines and enhance automation efforts.
- Maintain release repositories and ensure proper version control for all software artifacts.
- Act as a central point of contact for all release-related communications and inquiries.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 4 years) in a Release Management, Release Coordination, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN) and branching strategies.
- Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
- Excellent organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a process-oriented mindset.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing across diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Professional working proficiency in both English and German.
