As a Software Tester, you will play a critical role in the development lifecycle, working closely with developers, product managers, and support teams to identify, document, and track software defects. Your daily activities will involve executing test plans, creating detailed test cases, performing regression testing, and collaborating on automation efforts. You will be instrumental in validating new features, enhancements, and bug fixes across our diverse suite of products, including web, desktop, and mobile applications. This role demands a proactive approach to quality assurance, a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, and excellent communication skills to articulate findings clearly and concisely. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for new features, enhancements, and bug fixes.
  • Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using our bug tracking system, ensuring clear and reproducible steps.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to understand product requirements and ensure testability of features.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups and sprint planning meetings, providing input on testing efforts and timelines.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of automated test scripts and frameworks.
  • Work with customer support to replicate reported issues and assist in troubleshooting.
  • Provide constructive feedback to improve software design, user experience, and overall product quality.

Required Skills

  • 2+ years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
  • Proficiency in creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
  • Experience with bug tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps).
  • Familiarity with various testing types (functional, regression, integration).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress).
  • Familiarity with SQL for database testing.
  • Experience testing web, desktop, and mobile applications.
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • ISTQB certification.
