Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product requirements and technical specifications.
- Perform various types of testing including functional, regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for web and mobile applications.
- Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies using issue tracking systems, collaborating with development teams for resolution.
- Participate actively in all phases of the software development lifecycle, providing input on testability of designs and contributing to requirements review.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our QA processes, tools, and automation frameworks to enhance efficiency and coverage.
- Work closely with product owners, developers, and other QA engineers in an Agile/Scrum environment to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.
- Set up and maintain test environments and test data as needed for effective testing procedures.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Proficiency in creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps, TestRail).
- Solid understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and RESTful APIs.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote, distributed team effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
- Familiarity with performance and security testing concepts.
- ISTQB certification or equivalent.
- Experience testing cloud-based applications (AWS, Azure, GCP).
