Key Responsibilities
- Install solar panel systems on rooftops and other structures according to design specifications and safety guidelines.
- Mount racking systems and inverters, connect electrical wiring, and ensure proper grounding.
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on existing solar installations.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
- Conduct site assessments to determine optimal panel placement and system layout.
- Collaborate with project managers, electricians, and other team members to ensure project completion on schedule and within budget.
- Provide clear communication with clients regarding installation progress and system operation.
- Ensure all installations meet industry standards and local building codes.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Solar Panel Installer or similar role.
- Strong understanding of solar PV system components and installation processes.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Excellent physical stamina and ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols.
- Basic electrical knowledge.
