Key Responsibilities

  • Install solar panel systems on rooftops and other structures according to design specifications and safety guidelines.
  • Mount racking systems and inverters, connect electrical wiring, and ensure proper grounding.
  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on existing solar installations.
  • Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct site assessments to determine optimal panel placement and system layout.
  • Collaborate with project managers, electricians, and other team members to ensure project completion on schedule and within budget.
  • Provide clear communication with clients regarding installation progress and system operation.
  • Ensure all installations meet industry standards and local building codes.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Solar Panel Installer or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of solar PV system components and installation processes.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Excellent physical stamina and ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Strong commitment to safety protocols.
  • Basic electrical knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., MCS, NICEIC, or equivalent electrical qualifications).
  • Experience with different types of solar PV systems and battery storage solutions.
