Career.zycto is excited to offer an invaluable opportunity for an Entry-Level Sound Engineering Intern to join our vibrant team in Laval-des-Rapides. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior sound engineers with studio setup, microphone placement, and cable management for recording sessions.
  • Support in the maintenance and organization of audio equipment, ensuring all gear is in optimal working condition.
  • Monitor and log recording sessions, taking detailed notes on takes, performances, and technical adjustments.
  • Learn and apply basic audio editing techniques, including noise reduction, vocal tuning, and track cleanup.
  • Help with mixing and mastering tasks under direct supervision, understanding signal flow and audio processing.
  • Contribute to sound design projects, sourcing sound effects, and integrating them into various media.
  • Manage and archive audio files and project data, ensuring efficient workflow and easy retrieval.
  • Research new audio technologies, software, and industry trends to keep the team informed and innovative.

Required Skills

  • Fundamental understanding of audio principles (acoustics, signal flow, digital audio).
  • Familiarity with at least one major Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, or Ableton Live.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • A proactive and enthusiastic attitude, eager to learn and take initiative.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills for audio equipment and software.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an audio engineering, music production, or related program.

  • Knowledge of various microphone types and their applications.
