Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead sound technicians with the setup and dismantling of audio equipment, including microphones, speakers, mixing consoles, and cabling.
- Perform basic testing and troubleshooting of sound systems under supervision to ensure optimal performance.
- Manage and organize audio cables, ensuring safety and efficiency during events and preventing hazards.
- Monitor sound levels and quality during live performances and make minor adjustments as instructed by senior technicians.
- Assist with inventory management, maintenance, and safe storage of audio equipment, reporting any damages or missing items.
- Ensure all equipment is clean, well-maintained, and prepared for transport before and after events.
- Provide general on-site support to the production team as needed, contributing to seamless event execution.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and operational procedures to ensure a secure working environment.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of audio principles and equipment (e.g., microphones, speakers, amplifiers).
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and carry heavy equipment (up to 25kg) for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills for managing complex setups.
- Excellent teamwork and communication abilities to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients.
- Problem-solving aptitude and ability to remain calm and focused under pressure in fast-paced environments.
