Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Spa Therapist to join our dynamic ‘I Spa by Seven Colours’ team at Hennessy Park Hotel. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual passionate about holistic well-being and dedicated to delivering unparalleled guest experiences. As a Spa Therapist, you will be instrumental in creating a tranquil and restorative environment, offering a wide array of therapeutic massages and wellness treatments designed to promote relaxation, healing, and rejuvenation. Your expertise will not only enhance our guests’ physical comfort but also their mental and emotional serenity.
You will be responsible for performing various body treatments, facials, manicures, pedicures, and particularly a diverse range of massage techniques, including but not limited to Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, and aromatherapy. A key aspect of this role involves consulting with guests to assess their needs, recommend personalized treatments, and provide professional aftercare advice. Maintaining the highest standards of hygiene, sanitation, and client confidentiality is paramount. Key Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of massage techniques (Swedish, Deep Tissue, Hot Stone, Aromatherapy, etc.) and other spa treatments (facials, body scrubs, wraps, manicures, pedicures).
- Conduct thorough client consultations to identify individual needs, health conditions, and preferences, recommending appropriate treatments.
- Ensure guests receive a consistent, high-quality spa experience, exceeding their expectations.
- Maintain immaculate cleanliness and hygiene standards of treatment rooms, equipment, and spa common areas.
- Educate guests on the benefits of treatments and provide professional aftercare advice and product recommendations.
- Handle guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
- Assist with spa reception duties, including scheduling appointments and processing payments, when required.
- Adhere to all spa policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and stay updated on industry trends.
- Contribute to a positive and harmonious team environment.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Spa Therapist with expertise in various massage modalities.
- Excellent knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and contraindications for spa treatments.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on active listening and empathy.
- Ability to create a serene and relaxing atmosphere for guests.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and reliability.
- Proficiency in English and French; Creole is a plus.
- Certified qualification in Massage Therapy, Esthetics, or a related field from a recognized institution.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certifications in specialized treatments (e.g., reflexology, lymphatic drainage, specific facial techniques).
- Experience working in a luxury hotel spa environment.
- Strong sales acumen for recommending retail products and future treatments.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
