As a Spa Therapist, you will be the heart of our guests’ wellness journey, responsible for providing a wide array of treatments, including but not limited to, therapeutic massages, invigorating body scrubs, calming wraps, and rejuvenating facial treatments. Your expertise will not only focus on the physical aspects of therapy but also on creating a calming, personalized atmosphere where guests feel deeply cared for and understood. You will conduct thorough consultations to assess clients’ needs and preferences, recommending suitable treatments and products to enhance their well-being. Key Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of professional massage techniques (e.g., Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, reflexology) and body treatments tailored to client needs.
- Deliver high-quality facial treatments, body wraps, scrubs, and other spa services with exceptional attention to detail.
- Conduct thorough client consultations to understand their health history, preferences, and desired outcomes, advising on appropriate treatments.
- Maintain immaculate cleanliness and hygiene standards in all treatment rooms, equipment, and spa common areas.
- Ensure all spa equipment is properly functioning and report any maintenance needs promptly.
- Promote and sell spa products and services, educating clients on their benefits for continued wellness.
- Handle spa bookings, manage client records, and assist with general administrative duties as required.
- Provide a serene and relaxing environment for all clients, ensuring their comfort and privacy at all times.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new techniques, and product knowledge through continuous learning and training.
- Collaborate effectively with the spa team and other hotel departments to ensure a cohesive and luxurious guest experience.
Required Skills
- Certified Diploma or Degree in Massage Therapy, Esthetics, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Spa Therapist in a reputable spa or luxury hotel environment.
- Excellent knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and various massage modalities and beauty treatments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Exceptional customer service orientation and a commitment to creating memorable guest experiences.
- A professional, positive, and enthusiastic attitude.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, as per spa operational needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Specialization in advanced spa therapies such as Ayurveda, Thai massage, or specific medical aesthetics.
- Proficiency in additional languages, particularly French and/or other European languages.
- Experience with spa management software systems.
