Career.zycto, a leading educational institution committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment in Lockerbie Square, Indianapolis, is seeking a passionate Full-Time Special Education Teacher to join our esteemed faculty. This pivotal role involves designing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) that cater to the unique academic, social, and emotional development of each student. You will be instrumental in creating an engaging, accessible, and positive classroom atmosphere where every student feels valued, understood, and motivated to achieve their full potential.
In this role, you will be at the forefront of personalized learning, utilizing a variety of instructional strategies and assistive technologies to adapt curriculum and deliver lessons that meet the specific learning styles and goals outlined in each student’s IEP. Collaboration is key; you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including general education teachers, school psychologists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, parents, and support staff, to develop and execute comprehensive educational strategies. This collaborative approach ensures a holistic understanding of student needs and consistent support across all learning environments. You will regularly assess student progress, maintain meticulous records, and communicate effectively with families to celebrate achievements and address challenges. Furthermore, you will serve as a vital advocate for your students, ensuring their rights are protected and their voices are heard within the school community and beyond.
We are looking for an educator who not only possesses a strong understanding of special education methodologies, state and federal regulations, but also demonstrates exceptional patience, creativity, and a genuine commitment to advocacy for students with disabilities. The ideal candidate will be adept at fostering a growth mindset in students, encouraging resilience, and promoting self-advocacy skills. If you are driven by the opportunity to shape futures, celebrate small victories, and inspire a love for learning in every child, we encourage you to apply. Career.zycto offers a collaborative culture, ongoing professional development opportunities to keep you at the cutting edge of special education practices, and the chance to contribute to a truly impactful mission.
