Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the supervision and coordination of care staff during shifts, ensuring optimal service delivery.
  • Support the implementation and monitoring of individualised care plans for clients.
  • Conduct initial client assessments under guidance and contribute to care plan reviews.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to new care assistants, fostering a supportive team environment.
  • Ensure full compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory standards within the care setting.
  • Act as a first point of contact for care staff, addressing immediate concerns and escalating issues when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential client records and diligently complete all required care documentation.
  • Promote a person-centred approach, respecting clients' choices, dignity, and independence at all times.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, training sessions, and continuous professional development initiatives.
  • Help manage staff rotas and allocate duties efficiently to ensure adequate coverage and support.

  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures for vulnerable adults and children.
  • Valid UK driving license and access to a reliable vehicle for work-related travel (if applicable).
  • Current First Aid certification or willingness to obtain one.
