Key Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized treatment plans developed by a supervising Speech Language Pathologist (SLP).
  • Provide direct therapy services to clients, individually or in groups, under the supervision of an SLP.
  • Prepare and organize therapy materials, visual aids, and equipment for treatment sessions.
  • Document client progress accurately and maintain detailed records of therapy sessions.
  • Assist the supervising SLP with screenings, assessments, and data collection.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and caregivers regarding therapy activities and progress, under SLP guidance.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe therapy environment.
  • Participate in team meetings, professional development, and training sessions as required.
  • Adhere to all ethical standards, privacy regulations (HIPAA), and company policies.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure holistic client care.

Required Skills

  • Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders.
  • Valid Colorado SLPA license or eligibility for licensure.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help individuals with communication disorders.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior observation or volunteer experience in a speech therapy setting.
  • Familiarity with various therapeutic techniques and tools.
  • Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish) is a plus.
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
