Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised patient care plans in accordance with professional and ethical guidelines.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, accurately documenting all care provided.
- Monitor patients' conditions, interpret vital signs, and respond effectively to changes in health status.
- Collaborate effectively with doctors, other nurses, and healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive patient management.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, adhering to data protection policies.
- Provide clear and compassionate communication to patients and their families regarding their condition and care plan.
- Participate in ward rounds, multidisciplinary team meetings, and contribute to care planning discussions.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, infection control policies, and organisational procedures.
- Act as a mentor and role model for junior staff and students, promoting a culture of learning and development.
- Engage in continuous professional development to maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills.
Required Skills
- Valid NMC registration (or eligibility to apply for NMC registration within the UK)
- Minimum of 3 years (36 months) post-registration nursing experience in an acute care setting.
- Excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English (meeting NMC requirements, e.g., IELTS/OET).
- Commitment to patient-centred care and continuous quality improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a specific specialty area (e.g., Medical, Surgical, Critical Care).
- Recognised qualification in advanced life support (e.g., ALS, ILS).
- Evidence of continuous professional development and further education.
- Previous experience working in a diverse cultural environment.
