Career.zycto is actively seeking a professional and safety-conscious Staff Shuttle Driver to join our growing team in Abijo, Lagos. This vital role involves providing reliable and efficient transportation services for our dedicated employees, ensuring they arrive at their designated locations punctually and comfortably. As a Staff Shuttle Driver, you will be the face of our company during daily commutes, playing a crucial part in our operational efficiency and employee well-being. We are looking for an individual with an impeccable driving record, strong knowledge of Lagos road networks, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety and customer service. Key Responsibilities

  • Safely transport staff members to and from designated locations according to scheduled routes and timeframes.
  • Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and operational procedures.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the shuttle vehicle to ensure it is in excellent and safe working condition.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed trip records, including mileage, fuel consumption, and passenger logs.
  • Promptly report any mechanical issues, accidents, incidents, or potential hazards to the transport manager.
  • Ensure the cleanliness, tidiness, and presentability of the shuttle vehicle, both interior and exterior, at all times.
  • Assist passengers with boarding and alighting, providing support as needed, particularly for those with special requirements.
  • Exhibit professional conduct and maintain a courteous, friendly, and helpful demeanor towards all staff members.
  • Be available for flexible shifts, which may include early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends based on company needs.
  • Plan and follow efficient routes, utilizing real-time traffic updates to avoid congestion and ensure timely arrivals and departures.
  • Manage passenger comfort and safety throughout the journey, addressing any concerns appropriately.

Required Skills

  • Valid Nigerian Driver's License (Class E or equivalent) with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum of 3 years of verifiable professional driving experience, preferably in staff or commercial passenger transport.
  • Thorough and demonstrable knowledge of Lagos road networks, including Abijo, Lekki, Ajah, and surrounding areas.
  • Excellent defensive driving skills and a strong commitment to road safety.
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with staff.
  • Ability to perform basic vehicle checks and routine maintenance (e.g., checking oil, water, tire pressure, lights).
  • High level of punctuality, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as a valued member of a team.
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking) for communication and record-keeping.
  • Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and mobile map applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience driving passenger vans or larger capacity vehicles.
  • Possession of a First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics for troubleshooting minor issues.
  • Prior experience working in a corporate or hospitality environment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, especially in navigating unforeseen road conditions or vehicle issues.
