Key Responsibilities
- Execute safe and efficient loading, unloading, and sorting of baggage, cargo, and mail on and off aircraft.
- Operate various ground support equipment (GSE) such as tugs, belt loaders, cargo loaders, and pushback tractors (following appropriate training and certification).
- Perform marshalling and wing-walking duties to guide aircraft to and from parking stands.
- Conduct pre-departure checks and ensure proper servicing of aircraft, including potable water and lavatory services.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment on the ramp and in baggage handling areas.
- Adhere strictly to all airport safety regulations, procedures, and company policies, reporting any potential hazards or incidents.
- Communicate effectively with flight crews, dispatchers, and fellow ground staff to ensure coordinated operations.
- Assist passengers with special needs or inquiries as required, providing excellent customer service.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance skills and maintain certifications.
Required Skills
- Excellent physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 25 kg) frequently and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety protocols.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
- Valid EU driving license (Class B minimum).
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Effective communication skills in English (basic German is an advantage).
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in airport ground handling, logistics, or a physically demanding role.
- Experience operating heavy machinery or ground support equipment.
- Proficiency in German language (B1 level or higher).
- Familiarity with airport security procedures and protocols.
