Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory records using the company's stock management system.
- Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile with system records, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
- Monitor stock levels to ensure optimal inventory and prevent overstocking or stockouts.
- Coordinate with procurement, warehousing, and logistics teams for timely receipt and dispatch of goods.
- Implement and enforce proper storage procedures, ensuring goods are safely and efficiently stored.
- Process incoming deliveries, verifying contents against purchase orders and reporting any damages or shortages.
- Prepare stock reports, including inventory turnover, obsolescence, and consumption analysis.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within stock control and contribute to efficiency initiatives.
- Manage returns and defective goods processes, ensuring proper documentation and disposition.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations related to stock handling and storage.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Stock Controller or in a similar inventory management role.
- Strong understanding of inventory control principles and supply chain operations.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software (e.g., ERP systems).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Fluent in German and English (written and spoken).
