General Foods Supermarket in Waterford, Portmore, is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Stock Replenishment Runner to join our vibrant team. As a Stock Replenishment Runner, you will be instrumental in maintaining optimal inventory levels on the sales floor, moving products efficiently from the stockroom, assisting with deliveries, and ensuring all items are correctly priced and displayed. You will work closely with the wider store team to create an inviting and well-organized shopping experience, directly contributing to customer satisfaction and sales. Key Responsibilities

  • Efficiently transport merchandise from the stockroom to the sales floor using appropriate equipment.
  • Ensure shelves, displays, and promotional areas are consistently stocked, organized, and visually appealing.
  • Rotate stock to ensure older products are sold first (FIFO – First-In, First-Out) to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
  • Assist in receiving and unpacking deliveries, verifying quantities against invoices, and safely moving products to the stockroom.
  • Accurately price and label products as required, ensuring compliance with store pricing policies.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized stockroom and sales floor, adhering to all health and safety guidelines and company standards.
  • Assist customers with locating products and provide basic assistance when needed, directing them to appropriate staff for more complex inquiries.
  • Operate equipment such as hand trucks and pallet jacks safely and efficiently (training provided if necessary).
  • Report any damaged goods, stock discrepancies, or safety hazards to management promptly.
  • Support inventory counts and assist with merchandising efforts as directed by store management.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals and maintain a high level of customer service.

Required Skills

  • Strong physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy boxes (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a cohesive team.
  • Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability.
  • Basic understanding of inventory management principles.
  • Ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately and efficiently.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing retail environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent vocational qualification.
  • Previous experience in a retail, warehouse, or stock handling environment.
  • Familiarity with supermarket operations or stock replenishment procedures.
  • Experience operating a pallet jack, hand truck, or similar material handling equipment.
