Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated Store Shelf Stocker to join our dynamic team in Museu, Maputo. As a Store Shelf Stocker, you will play a crucial role in our daily operations. Your day will involve receiving new merchandise, carefully unpacking it, and strategically placing it on the sales floor. Attention to detail is paramount, as you’ll be responsible for rotating products to ensure freshness, checking for damaged goods, and accurately updating inventory. You’ll contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized backroom and sales area, adhering strictly to company guidelines and safety protocols. This position requires physical stamina, a keen eye for organization, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Key Responsibilities

  • Efficiently receive, unload, and process incoming merchandise deliveries.
  • Stock shelves, display areas, and refrigerators according to planograms and merchandising standards.
  • Ensure proper product rotation (First-In, First-Out) to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
  • Inspect products for damage or expiration dates and report discrepancies.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized backroom and sales floor, including aisles and display fixtures.
  • Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate stock levels.
  • Set up promotional displays and assist with price changes as directed.
  • Adhere to all company safety standards and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Provide basic assistance to customers by directing them to products when needed.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding stock levels or issues.

Required Skills

  • Physical stamina and ability to lift and carry objects up to 25 kg (55 lbs) repeatedly.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in merchandise placement and inventory handling.
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills for inventory checks and product identification.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a retail, warehouse, or stocking role.
  • Familiarity with inventory management principles.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.
