Join the dedicated team at Career.zycto as an Early Morning Store Stocker in Stretford, Manchester. This pivotal role ensures our store is perfectly prepared before opening its doors to customers each day. You’ll be instrumental in maintaining an organised, well-stocked, and visually appealing environment that enhances the shopping experience. Working independently and as part of a small, focused team, you will handle incoming deliveries, efficiently replenish shelves, and meticulously arrange products according to planograms and company standards. Key Responsibilities
- Receive and unload incoming deliveries, verifying quantities against invoices and identifying any discrepancies.
- Efficiently sort and organise merchandise in the stockroom and on the sales floor.
- Replenish shelves, displays, and promotional areas with new stock in a timely manner.
- Ensure products are correctly priced, faced, and arranged according to company planograms and merchandising guidelines.
- Rotate stock to ensure freshness and minimise waste, adhering to 'first in, first out' (FIFO) principles where applicable.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised stockroom and sales floor throughout the shift.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock audits as required.
- Operate manual and electric pallet jacks or other equipment safely (training provided if necessary).
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy boxes and merchandise (up to 25kg) regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in stock handling and placement.
- Excellent time management and ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision.
- Reliable and punctual, with the ability to consistently meet early morning start times.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills for checking invoices and stock counts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail stocking, warehouse, or similar physical role.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems or processes.
- Experience operating manual pallet jacks or similar equipment.
- A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn new procedures.
