Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily store operations, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient service.
- Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of retail associates, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Ensure exceptional customer service is consistently delivered, addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Manage inventory, including stock receiving, rotation, replenishment, and accurate record-keeping.
- Implement and maintain visual merchandising standards to create an appealing and organized store layout.
- Oversee cash handling procedures, till reconciliation, and daily sales reporting.
- Assist in staff training and development, including onboarding new team members and conducting performance reviews.
- Maintain high standards of store cleanliness, safety, and security.
- Contribute to achieving sales targets and operational goals.
- Perform opening and closing procedures as required.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, or strong potential for leadership.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service orientation with a problem-solving mindset.
- Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- A positive attitude and a proactive approach to challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail environment (even if not supervisory).
- A diploma or certificate in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field.
- Familiarity with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French/Creole.
