Agrinet, a leading wholesale distributor of agricultural, irrigation, hardware, and garden products across Southern Africa, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Storekeeper and Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic team in Potchefstroom. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the receiving, inspection, storage, and issuance of goods according to company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through meticulous data entry and regular stock counts (cycle counts, physical inventories).
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in stock levels, reporting any issues to management.
  • Organise and maintain the warehouse layout for optimal space utilisation and efficient workflow.
  • Prepare and package orders for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and adherence to delivery schedules.
  • Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) safely and efficiently (if certified).
  • Ensure all health and safety regulations are strictly followed within the warehouse.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and sales departments to forecast demand and manage stock replenishment.
  • Implement and maintain quality control standards for incoming and outgoing products.
  • Assist in the development and improvement of inventory control processes and procedures.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in storekeeping, warehousing, or inventory control (minimum 2 years).
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving heavy items.
  • Basic computer literacy (MS Office Suite, especially Excel).
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant certification in Inventory Management or Logistics.
