Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and highly organized Storekeeper to join our team in Kirehe, Eastern Province. This full-time, day shift position is critical to ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our warehousing and distribution processes. The Storekeeper will be responsible for the accurate reception, storage, and dispatch of goods, maintaining meticulous inventory records, and ensuring the cleanliness and orderliness of the store. This role demands a proactive individual with a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to upholding safety standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods against purchase orders and delivery notes, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Safely and efficiently store materials and products in designated locations within the warehouse, optimizing space utilization.
  • Accurately pick and issue goods to various departments or for dispatch, following established procedures.
  • Maintain precise and up-to-date inventory records using manual and/or automated systems (e.g., stock cards, WMS).
  • Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies, reporting any variances to management.
  • Ensure the cleanliness, tidiness, and security of the store area, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and responsibly (if certified).
  • Prepare outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and loading, to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
  • Monitor stock levels and report any shortages or excesses to facilitate timely replenishment or action.
  • Collaborate with procurement, production, and distribution teams to ensure seamless flow of materials and finished goods.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a storekeeping, warehousing, or inventory control role.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel).
  • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail for accurate record-keeping and inventory management.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Good communication skills in Kinyarwanda and English (written and verbal).
  • Demonstrated reliability and a strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A diploma or certificate in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
  • Valid forklift operator's license and experience operating material handling equipment.
  • Previous experience in the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) or beverage industry.
