Key Responsibilities
- Manage the receiving, unpacking, checking, and storing of incoming materials and goods.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using our digital inventory management system.
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile physical inventory with system records, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Organize and maintain the storeroom in a clean, safe, and orderly manner, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Process requisitions and issue materials to various departments, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment.
- Monitor stock levels and collaborate with procurement to initiate reorders, preventing stock-outs or overstocking.
- Implement and improve inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Prepare periodic reports on stock movement, consumption, and inventory status.
- Operate forklifts or other material handling equipment safely, if certified.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of deliveries, as required.
- Ensure all goods are stored under appropriate conditions to prevent damage or deterioration.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Storekeeper or in a similar inventory management role.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy items and stand for extended periods.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations in a warehouse/storeroom environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift operator certification (e.g., Counterbalance, Reach Truck).
- Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Warehousing and Storage or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of supply chain processes and logistics.
