Career.zycto is seeking a diligent and experienced Storekeeper to join our operations in Stoke-on-Trent. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the receiving, inspection, storage, and issuance of materials and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using a computerized inventory management system.
  • Perform regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies to ensure accuracy.
  • Organize and maintain the warehouse/storeroom in a clean, safe, and orderly manner.
  • Prepare materials for dispatch, ensuring correct quantities and documentation.
  • Operate material handling equipment safely, such as forklifts or pallet jacks, if certified.
  • Monitor stock levels and liaise with procurement to ensure optimal inventory and prevent shortages.
  • Adhere to all company safety regulations and procedures.
  • Identify and report any damaged, obsolete, or slow-moving stock.
  • Assist with loading and unloading of deliveries as required.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Storekeeper or in a similar inventory management role.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving goods.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations in a warehouse environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Forklift operator certification (e.g., counterbalance, reach truck).
  • Knowledge of supply chain processes and best practices.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or logistics industry setting.
