Key Responsibilities
- Manage the receiving, inspection, storage, and issuance of materials and equipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using a computerized inventory management system.
- Perform regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies to ensure accuracy.
- Organize and maintain the warehouse/storeroom in a clean, safe, and orderly manner.
- Prepare materials for dispatch, ensuring correct quantities and documentation.
- Operate material handling equipment safely, such as forklifts or pallet jacks, if certified.
- Monitor stock levels and liaise with procurement to ensure optimal inventory and prevent shortages.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and procedures.
- Identify and report any damaged, obsolete, or slow-moving stock.
- Assist with loading and unloading of deliveries as required.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Storekeeper or in a similar inventory management role.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving goods.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
