Career.zycto is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Storekeeper to join our team in Shoreditch, London. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of our inventory and supply chain operations, ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, issuance, and tracking of goods. The successful candidate will be instrumental in maintaining optimal stock levels, preventing discrepancies, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our business operations. Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and accurately record all incoming goods, supplies, and materials.
  • Organize, sort, and store inventory in designated locations within the warehouse, optimizing space and accessibility.
  • Issue materials, tools, and supplies to various departments or individuals as per authorized requisitions.
  • Maintain meticulous and up-to-date inventory records using our internal management software/systems.
  • Conduct regular physical stock counts (cycle counts and annual inventory) and reconcile any discrepancies found.
  • Monitor stock levels continuously, identifying minimum reorder points and initiating procurement requests proactively.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and preservation of all goods, including fragile, perishable, or hazardous materials, adhering to safety guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Liaise effectively with suppliers, procurement, and internal departments to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
  • Assist in loading and unloading goods, and potentially operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts (if certified).

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (minimum 1.5 years) as a Storekeeper, Stock Controller, or similar inventory-focused role.
  • Solid understanding of inventory management principles, procedures, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software/systems (e.g., ERP systems, warehouse management systems).
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong time-management capabilities and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects (up to 25kg) and stand for extended periods.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., Counterbalance, Reach Truck).
  • Experience with a specific ERP system like SAP Business One or Oracle NetSuite.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of health and safety regulations pertaining to warehouse operations.
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced retail or distribution environment.
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics at grade C/4 or above.
