Career.zycto is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Storekeeper to join our operations team in Laurencekirk, Aberdeen. This pivotal role is central to maintaining the seamless flow of goods within our facility, ensuring inventory accuracy, and supporting our broader supply chain objectives. As a Storekeeper, you will be instrumental in managing all aspects of our warehouse operations, from receiving incoming shipments to accurately dispatching orders. Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming materials and goods, verifying against purchase orders and delivery notes.
  • Safely and efficiently store materials in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper shelving, labeling, and accessibility.
  • Accurately pick and prepare materials for outbound shipments according to sales orders or internal requisitions.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts (cycle counts and annual stocktakes) to maintain high levels of inventory accuracy.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, adhering strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Process and document all material movements using the inventory management system (WMS/ERP), ensuring data integrity.
  • Report any discrepancies, damages, or quality issues with received or stored goods promptly to management.
  • Assist in loading and unloading vehicles as required, ensuring proper handling of all materials.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse operations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Storekeeper, Warehouse Assistant, or similar role (minimum 2 years).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in inventory control and stock management principles.
  • Basic computer literacy, including experience with inventory management software or ERP systems.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 25kg) and perform physical tasks in a warehouse setting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration.
  • Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations in a warehouse environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., reach truck, counterbalance).
  • Experience with specific Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
  • Previous experience in a logistics, manufacturing, or distribution environment.
  • A relevant qualification in supply chain management or logistics.
  • First Aid certification.
