Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials and reconcile with purchase orders; report discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of stock levels, movements, and transfers using inventory management software.
- Organize and maintain the warehouse/store area for efficient storage and retrieval of goods, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile with system records; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and dispatch outgoing goods, ensuring proper packaging, labeling, and documentation.
- Implement and monitor FIFO/LIFO (First-In, First-Out / Last-In, First-Out) inventory practices as appropriate.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, and potentially forklifts, safely and efficiently (if certified).
- Monitor stock for damage, expiry dates, and obsolescence, taking appropriate action to manage non-conforming stock.
- Collaborate with procurement, sales, and logistics teams to ensure optimal stock levels and timely order fulfillment.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the storage facility.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (2+ years) as a Storekeeper, Stock Controller, or similar role.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in using inventory management systems and basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to stock management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or Certificate in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
