Career.zycto is actively searching for a highly organized and detail-oriented Storekeeper to join our growing team in Vacoas-Phoenix. Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming goods, verifying against purchase orders, delivery notes, and ensuring quality and quantity compliance.
  • Organize and store inventory in designated locations within the warehouse, ensuring optimal space utilization, easy accessibility, and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Maintain precise inventory records using our stock management system, performing regular data entry, updates, and conducting reconciliations to ensure absolute accuracy.
  • Prepare and issue goods as per requisitions, ensuring correct quantities and quality, and meticulously update inventory records for all outgoing items.
  • Monitor stock levels continuously, identify potential shortages, excess stock, or slow-moving items, and communicate these promptly to relevant departments for timely action.
  • Conduct thorough physical inventory counts and actively participate in periodic stock audits to verify inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Implement and maintain proper storage procedures, ensuring items are stored safely, securely, and in compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) safely and efficiently, if certified, for the movement and placement of goods within the warehouse.
  • Identify and report any damaged, defective, or expired goods, ensuring proper segregation, documentation, and follow-through on disposal or return procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the storeroom and warehouse at all times, adhering to 5S principles.
  • Collaborate effectively with procurement, sales, and logistics teams to ensure a seamless flow of goods and accurate information exchange.
  • Generate comprehensive inventory reports as required by management, providing valuable insights into stock movement, levels, and operational performance.
  • Assist in the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles, ensuring careful handling and proper documentation of all items.
  • Ensure proper documentation is maintained for all incoming and outgoing stock movements, including Goods Received Notes (GRNs), Stock Release Notes (SRNs), and invoices.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for inventory management processes and overall warehouse operations to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Storekeeper or in a similar inventory management role.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and MS Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving heavy items.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of warehousing and stock control procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A diploma or certificate in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Valid forklift operator's license.
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a warehouse environment.
